Cuyahoga County in northern Ohio is one of natural beauty and urban appeal. Situated along the southern shore of Lake Erie, this is the most heavily populated county in the state, with most of these people residing in Cleveland and the surrounding metropolitan area. The county is bisected by the Cuyahoga River, and between this major waterway, lakes, and other water features, over 60 percent of the county is water. This allows for much in the way of recreation for residents and visitors, and many people in the area enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, and more in the crisp waters of Cuyahoga County. It is also home to Ohio's only National Park, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which is a huge attraction for visitors. The 51-square mile park is located in the southeastern portion of the County and has trails for hiking, jogging, and biking. It also features concerts, art exhibits, and scenic railroad tours.
